2017 Conference on Family Research & Practice

The 2017 ACFRP Conference titled "The Good News About Marriage" with keynote speakers Shaunti Feldhahn and Derek Morris, will take place July 20-22, 2017 at the Seminary. 
 
Research reveals that healthy marriages affect all relationships in society, both children and adults alike. This conference will be beneficial to EVERYONE including but not limited to future social workers, behavioral scientists, psychologists, nurses, pastors, school educators and everyday people. 
 
This year's conference will have presentations on topics like the following: 
        “Impact of Single Mothers Raising Boys and the Church’s Role” 
        “Family and its environment as the cause of childhood violence” 
        “Family Systems Concepts: Application to Counseling Couples” 
        “(Adventist) Engaged Encounter: a Marriage Preparation Model" 
        “The Changing Power of Forgiveness” 
        “Theological foundation for the selection of life-partner”  
 
We are excited to share that the ACFRP Conference will be presented in both English and Spanish this year.
