WHAT WE WILL NOT DO:
- We will NOT read our own meaning into a Biblical passage
- We will NOT create our own message
- We will NOT create our own central theme
- We will NOT veer from author's theme
- We will NOT ramble
- We will NOT preach without personal conviction and experience
- We will NOT preach without expecting to change lives
- We will NOT go overtime
WHAT WE WILL DO:
- We WILL interpret the Bible in its normal and natural sense
- We WILL communicate the author's message
- We WILL find the author's central theme
- We WILL build a message around the author's theme
- We WILL make that theme central part of everything said
- We WILL experience and apply the message to ourselves (preach from
the heart)
- We WILL preach to change lives (preach to hurting souls)
- We WILL make our sermons SHORT and GOOD
