The Department of Biology at Andrews University is looking for a highly qualified biologist to fill a tenure-track position, beginning fall 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate capacity for effective college biology teaching, productive research and research mentoring, and scholarly service; good interpersonal skills; and commitment to the integration of faith and learning. The specific field of expertise is negotiable, but the successful candidate will demonstrate ability to teach broadly in biology.

The position holds a faculty appointment and has academic, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Department of Computing and of Andrews University.  The Department of Computing has programs in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Applied Computer Science.

Doctorate preferred in Computer Science or closely related field. Will consider Masters in a Computer Science or closely related field.

The candidate must be dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Participates as a member of the Department of Computing in casting a shared vision.

Under the direction of the Director of the Center for Adventist Research, the Associate Director is responsible for all aspects of the Center for Adventist Research’s collections, use of collections, and the overall services and operations of the Center according to professional best practices.

Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school.

Strong familiarity with Seventh-day Adventist history and organization.

At least two years management and professional librarianship experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and library-focused software and standards such as OCLC, MARC, Dublin Core, EAD, DACS.

Ability to move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds and place them on high shelves.

Our Program offers BSE in Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.  Faculty will teach courses in computer engineering, advise students and participate in university committees.

The successful candidate will qualify in terms of their excellence in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or closely related field.  Teaching and research will be characterized by collegiality, ethical behavior, committment to student engagement and siritual nurture.

Teach graduate courses in school psychology, advice school psychology students, serve on dissertation committees, serve on departmental and university committees, maintain an active research agenda as documented through publications and presentations, and provide service to the university and community.

Oversees all aspects of the PhD Counseling Psychology and MA Counselor Education students’ clinical training experiences for the GPC department.  Help in coordinating departmental efforts in establishing training sites for MA student placement and works with APPIC as the Director of Training for the doctoral Counseling Psychology program to facilitate student internship placements.   The coordinator collaborates with the Andrews Community Counseling Center Director as well as other faculty in constructing student application guidelines and procedures for counseling students. The coordinator will have both administrative and teaching duties. 

• Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology preferably with a State licensure as a Counselor (LPC)
• EPPP licensure required.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Andrews University is seeking a highly skilled and innovative individual for a full-time (12-month) tenure track Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) faculty to teach in a NAACLS accredited MLS Program. The applicant should possess skills to effectively teach university courses for MLS students and participate in appropriate scholarly and service activities consistent with the vision, mission, and philosophy of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. The candidate should demonstrate competence in both didactic and clinical education as well as curriculum development.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in MLS or related area.
• Doctoral or Ph.D. degree preferred.
• National (U.S.) recognized Medical Laboratory Science certification such as that offered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
• Minimum of three years of generalist clinical experience with preferred emphasis on immunology/immunohematology (blood bank/transfusion medicine)
• Commitment to professional development.

Reporting to the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), the Chair has responsibility for the overall operations in the School of Nursing, which includes BSN, RN-to-BSN, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. The Chair maintains the accreditation of the programs, development and maintenance of the evaluation plan, curriculum review, organization of division projects, faculty development, and the self-study report.

• Doctorate degree in Nursing (preferred) or a doctorate degree in a health-related field, leadership, or education with a master’s degree in nursing.
• Associate Professor.
• License/ eligibility to practice Nursing in Michigan.
• Three years of experience practicing Nursing.
• Five years of college teaching experience.
• Experience with accreditation of Nursing programs  (preferred).

The Department of Physics at Andrews University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to commence in July 2025.  Candidates with research interests in any area of  physics or astronomy will be considered and the successful candidate is expected to establish an active research program in physics.  Teaching experience in introductory, intermediate, and advanced physics courses is preferred  but evidence of pedagogical talent, creativity, dedication, and commitment is sufficient. 

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate courses required for general education, professional career preparation, and entry into graduate academic programs. The candidate’s academic and research experience at the core of their physics doctoral degree or postdoc is expected to play a key role in upper division coursework, inspiring and equiping majors for subsequent advanced study or for direct entry into the workforce.

Full-time, tenure-track, associate professor, 100% teaching appointment, in the School of Population Health, Nutrition & Wellness at Andrews University.

• DrPH or PhD in public health or related field.
• A minimum of one year of teaching experience at the university level is required. Online teaching experience is a plus.

Preferred:

• 3-5 years of teaching experience at the university level
• Experience with health promotion and health education
• Experience with research and publications

The primary responsibilities of this faculty appointment are to teach in the DPT program and serve as the neurology track coordinator. The faculty appointment has administrative, academic, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences (SRS). 

• Earned Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE accredited program. 
• Earned advanced doctorate (academic or professional). Candidates enrolled in an advanced doctorate with a reasonable projected completion date may be considered.
• Minimum five years of relevant clinical experience in neurology.
• APTA Board-Certified Neurological Clinical Specialist preferred.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred, may include clinical education.  
• Minimum two years of management experience, serving in leadership roles within a given organization preferred.

Andrews University’s School of Rehabilitation Sciences is seeking a full time Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, who will create, implement, and oversea the fieldwork education of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) students according to the Accrediting Council of Occupational Therapy Education’s (ACOTE) fieldwork standards.
