Position summary
The editorial assistant will be participating in various stages of book production, especially assisting in detailed tasks on individual manuscripts such as a study Bible, a biblical Hebrew textbook, reprints of books by Ellen G. White, and/or a theological work on the Adventist understanding of death. Applicant must be a qualified, full-time student at Andrews University.

Applicant must have superior communication skills, with an avid interest in scholarship and book production. This position involves a commitment that must be consistently kept in addition to academic pursuits.

Assist with production of books and related publishing tasks

Qualifications
- High level of attention to detail and quality of work
- Avid interest in biblical scholarship and book production
- Superior communication skills
- Knowledge of the rules of grammar
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to spend long periods of time on a single task but also regularly switch between multiple projects
- Reliability and dependability in meeting a consistent daily schedule
Technical competencies
- Experience with track changes in Microsoft Word
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat
- Basic knowledge of the Adobe InDesign program would be helpful
Interpersonal interactions
Must be able to work collegially in an office setting with other immediate associates
