Position summary
Must be a full-time student of Andrews University.
Successful applicant must be able to read and speak English clearly and distinctly, have excellent communication skills, be reliable, able to work weekends and holidays, often with limited supervision, and enjoy interacting with the public. Preference is given to undergraduate applicants with work experience. Experience in radio is not required.

Duties and responsibilities
- Reports to Program Director
- All items listed below are on the clock paid at the hourly rate
- On-Air Announcer of Classical Music
- Completes required station and FCC documentation
- live announcing during assigned broadcast shift
- Answering phone/taking messages during weekends/holiday/breaks
- Listens to live air and digital radio signal
- Reports interruptions to Technical Director or Program Director
- Attends all staff meetings
- Attends mandatory weekly diction lesson with Program Director
- Participates in two on-air fundraisers per School year
- On-Air announcing
- Taking donations over the phone
- Attends WAUS events and functions as assigned
- Students demonstrating aptitude may work with Technical Director, or Program director
- Studio recording
- Pre-production
- Music Library management
- Other duties as assigned

None
Qualifications
None required, on the job training will be provided. Proficiency must be demonstrated to continue employment.
Successful completion of the AU HR Office Skills Test is required.
Technical competencies
Able to read and speak English fluently
Able to read from a computer screen
Have use of hands
Able to operate computers and the mixing console
Able to open and lock entryway doors and studio doors
Lifting not generally required
Interpersonal interactions
WAUS is a public-facing department. Must be comfortable interacting with listeners and other staff members, in person and when taking calls.
