Position summary
Adventist Information Ministry (AIM) is the epicenter of interest management for the NAD, focusing on digital evangelism, interest tracking, connecting media ministry interests to the local church.
The
Digital Evangelism Specialist will play a critical role in spreading the gospel using social media. AIM, in conjunction with Conference and Local Church leadership in North America, will engage with individuals on social media to provide spiritual care & mentorship – shepherding interested individuals into a meaningful connection with a local church community. Qualifications summary
Previous experience working in Digital Evangelism, Chaplaincy, or Spiritual Care/Mentorship roles is beneficial, but not required. The ideal candidate will be passionate about spreading the gospel through digital channels and be proficient in using social media platforms.
Duties and responsibilities
- Respond to social media inquiries and engage with individuals to build relationships and foster community
- Prayerfully and regularly provide support to individuals on their journey toward a deeper relationship with God and understanding of the Bible
- Must be comfortable sharing the basic principles and teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and responding to basic Bible questions

Qualifications
- Fluent and effective communication skills in the English language (verbally and written form: spelling, grammar, and punctuation).
- Ability to communicate in other languages is a plus, especially Spanish.
- Excellent time management
- Ability to multi-task and balance the needs of multiple projects/individuals simultaneously
- Careful attention to detail
- Conversation management skills
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal/external contacts
- Must possess advanced ability to convey genuine empathy and care in written form

Technical competencies
- Digitally native, tech-savvy
- Fully proficient in using social media platforms to facilitate meaningful connection
Interpersonal interactions
Collaborates within the AIM team, church leadership at the local level and throughout the Division, and the public. Must possess advanced interpersonal skills and project a professional Christian image.
Physical demands
Essential responsibilities are performed in sedentary and comfortable manner. Tasks are usually performed under normal office conditions. Work area is well-lighted and ventilated.
Work environment
Digital Evangelism Specialists will assume a hybrid work environment, using an AIM provided laptop for at-home work, but being available for in-person training and meetings, as necessary.
