Position summary

Assist in preparing for annual Orientation for New Students, Leadership Conference, and RoundTable. Responsible for managing all administrative functions within the office, by implementing and maintaining departmental systems, procedures, and policies in a timely and organized manner.  Assist the Accreditation Coordinator in data collection.  Supervise departmental student workers.  Support and coordinate adjunct faculty.   Manage and support Departmental Chair and faculty’s administrative needs and appointment calendars.  Individual must be comfortable working in an open office environment with frequent interruptions, and providing support to faculty, students, and the public, while creating an environment that promotes a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.

Duties and responsibilities



Supervisory responsibilities

This position is responsible for the supervision of all the School of Leadership student workers, managing their timecards and submitting their hours.  Also responsible for supporting adjunct faculty by helping them get their contract completed and submitted.  Connecting them to resources, such as, getting their books ordered for their classes. Getting technical resources e.g., their email set up, Zoom accounts set up and order kits and protocols for their classes.

Qualifications




Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Technical competencies

Must be able to manage and update departmental website and social media platforms.

Must have good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and be capable of learning AU's internal sotwares (Banner, iVue, etc.)
