Position summary

The successful candidate will work with the Associate Chaplains, Service and Missions Director and the Vice-President for Faith Engagement as needed, to promote interfaith dialogue, culture development, and discipleship initiatives for the department across the university campus. The candidate should be prepared to work 3-5 hours a week.

Duties and responsibilities

• 
  Responsible for interfacing with the Manna Food Pantry providing marketing for donation drives 
  


• 
  Responsible for organizing and managing a variety of social and wellness initiatives (clothes drives, food drives, care package creation, etc) 
  


• 
  Promotion of holistic wellness initiatives including but not limited to physical, mental, social with intentional thought given to the spiritual aspect 
  

Bring awareness and advocate for causes and providing tangible avenues for student engagement in solution-building

The candidate will be responsible for the identification and interface with student wellness leaders.

Qualifications

• 
  Ability to network and maintain interdepartmental relationships at the student employee level 
  


• 
  Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines 
  


• 
  Demonstrated experience marketing, promoting, and generating peer interest in initiatives 
  


• 
  Experience in project and program management (Preferred)
  


• 
  Social media savvy (Preferred)
  


• 
  NOTE: This individual must be available August 13, 2024 - August 16, 2024 for the entirety of the required CFE Student Chaplain Retreat
  

Note: this position is partially funded by the Collegiate Advocates for Better Living (CABL) initiative by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. The student, under the supervision and support of the Associate Chaplain, is required to contact the CABL department each semester for the grant funding. The other 2 hours per/week are paid directly through the Center for Faith Engagement.

Technical competencies

Basics of MS office, Google Suite, Social Media platforms.

Interpersonal interactions
