Position summary
The Center for Faith Engagement, CFE, is looking for a qualified student worker to join our department to assist in planning and leading worship experiences on campus effectively building worship culture on Andrews University’s campus. The candidate will be responsible for the identification and advising of other student worship leaders. The successful candidate will work with the Associate Chaplains, Service and Missions Director and the Vice-President for Faith Engagement as needed, to promote faith dialogue, culture development, and discipleship initiatives for the department across the university campus.
The candidate should be prepared to work
6 hours a week.

Duties and responsibilities

Execute Campus faith-culture projects in support of wider campus culture initiatives

Lead team of student volunteers responsible for the planning, leading, and engagement of worship at various events and programs across campus.

Identify and engage individuals with ability to become worship leaders across the campus

Manage and maintain the use of CFE worship equipment to ensure best quality of events and longevity of equipment

Provide leadership and insight into the planning of campus programming such as CFE’s vespers, Week of Prayer, Engage Summits, Fellowships, and Student-Led Worship services on an occasional basis

Qualifications
- Candidates hold at least Sophomore class standing with one year of in-residence education on campus OR demonstrated understanding of Andrews’ campus life (Preferred)
- Demonstrated evidence of prior experience leading worship and training worship leaders in a variety of settings
- Demonstrated understanding of worship in multi-cultural blended settings
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
- Must be a student in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- NOTE: This individual must be available Aug. 11 - 15, 2025 for the required CFE Student Chaplain Retreat
