Position summary
The graduate assistant for
Marketing and Office Administration in the Career Center will work with the Career Center director to oversee the overall marketing of the Career Center to enhance student engagement and utilization of the Career Center’s programs and services as well as provide administrative support for the successful operation of the Career Center. The graduate assistant will assist in the development of marketing and communication strategies to enhance the Career Center’s brand.

The qualified candidate will have strong marketing and communications skills with an undergraduate degree in marketing, business, communications, or other relevant field.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and manage the promotion of all Career Center services, programs, and activities to increase student engagement.
- Create marketing material including posters, presentations, schedules, and digital ads.
- Assist in the development of marketing videos and video advertisements.
- Administer the Career Center’s social media accounts and assist with the development of social media promotion strategy and contact.
- Contribute to website reviews and updates.
- Assist with the development of creative content.
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and delivery of career workshops, career fairs, programs, outreach and other career-related programs to enhance student engagement.
- Assist in developing career initiatives and programs to enhance career development services.

- Educate students in Career Center resources.
- Provide front desk coverage, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to emails.
- Maintain and update office records, files, databases and endure organized documentation
- Process and track office supply orders and inventory
- Support event logistics, including room reservations, catering requests, and material preparation.
- Participate in meetings and trainings.
- Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
- Assist with data collection for reporting and analysis.
- Special projects and other duties assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant field or equivalent experience
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program at Andrews University
- Experience using Adobe software and Canva familiarity using a variety of social media websites and video editing.
- Experience with event planning
- Experience with website design and photography
- Possess digital fluency with excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, creativity, and a positive attitude
