JAPANESE-BORN & OTHER ASIAN-BORN RESIDENTS: EARN $200 FOR TESTING STROLLER PROTOTYPE

People who were born in Japan or other Asian countries are being sought to test a baby stroller prototype May 2-5 in Kalamazoo.

The stroller will be sold in the Japanese market. Newell Brands’ usability experts need Japanese- or Asian-born participants to help researchers understand customers’ preferences in the Asian market.

Within this cultural background, researchers are specifically seeking women and men, ages 18-65, who are parents, grandparents or other primary caretakers of children under 4 years old and who routinely use a stroller.

Participants will need to be able to walk with the stroller and stand for up to 90 minutes. There will be no lifting required, and so pregnant women who fit the above qualifications are welcome to participate.

At the conclusion of a participant’s testing, he or she will receive a $200 Visa gift card.

If you think you might be qualified for this testing, please email Karol Stanisz at Marketing Partners to express your interest. Marketing Partners is a firm in St. Joseph, Mich., that recruits participants for Newell Brands’ prototype testing. Include your phone number in the email, and please put the words “Stroller Testing” in the subject line.

FOR NON-ENGLISH-SPEAKING PEOPLE
If you are a friend or family member of someone who might qualify for this study but who doesn’t speak or write English fluently, you can help by emailing Karol and letting her know about your friend or family member. Please include your phone number and the phone number of the other person.

We will set up a time that you and your friend or family member can talk on the phone with someone from Marketing Partners. You will need to act as translator during that call.

During the testing itself, however, a professional translator will be provided for non-English-speaking participants.

Participants may NOT bring children to the laboratory for this testing. Three of the four days of testing will have early evening hours.

The testing will take place at the usability laboratory in the Newell Brands Design Center. The Design Center is at 3300 Research Way in Western Michigan University’s Business Technology and Research Park, southwest of the main, older WMU campus.
