You may not always receive
feedback the way you like to receive it. How will you respond?
|
In her book, Strategies for Successful
Student Teaching, Carol Pelletier states,
"...accepting
feedback is an important aspect of participating in a supervisory model.
During student teaching there will be times when your 'coaches' will
either offer you suggestions or provide objective data for you to reflect
on. Being open to this information will provide you with more of an
opportunity to grow and develop as a teacher. Accepting feedback is not
easy. Remind yourself of the situations in your life and how you typically
respond and then move through any difficult feedback sessions to see the
growth ahead."

What would happen
if you were to share with your university supervisors and supervising
teacher how you like to receive feedback?
|
 |
Do you think they
would make accommodations for your "feedback preference?" Why or why
not?
