Introductions and Getting Around
  Week One

To orient yourself to the course and also your fellow students, this week do the following:

1.Introduce yourself to your fellow students. Use the Discussion tool.

2.You will need to use the AU library or your library from your work place to download about 20 dissertation abstracts on your topic of interest - for your research project for this class. Also, there are a number of required readings for the class. The required articles for reading in this course are marked with an asterisk in each of the modules. These articiles you should have received in the course packet. If you do not have these - email me today and I will send you a packet OR if you're on campus, drop by my office and I'll give you a packet. However, there are many other articles that you could download from the James White Library. If you're accessing this off campus, you'll need to enter your Andrews username and password. If you have trouble with name and password issues, email mgane@andrews.edu.

3. Do this Self Evaluation for Potential Online Students then please copy and paste your results to me using the class email tool. Don't worry! There is no wrong answer with these - they will help me reach your learning needs better and I may use them in research (but never with your name associated with them).

4. Do this online learning style test - The VARK Questionnaire and report your results to me using the emial tool in the class. This is a survey of visual, auditory, reading and kinesthetic preferences. Again, knowing your preferences may help me in teaching this class online, and I may use the results in research. Thanks so much for your input.
