Why you should vote Murrill "The Pearl":
As a senator this year I have become much more involved in the affairs of this institution. I am active with, and enthusiastically supportive of the student body.
I am very sociable with many types of people regardless of their background. I feel I can interact with anyone whether they are into basketball or basket weaving. I am a member of AFIA and The Pre-med Society, as well as, a regular performer with the KASA drama team. I also participate in Berrien Springs Outreach-Nursing Home Ministry, on Sabbath afternoons, and during the week devote part of my time as an ACES Cable TV Director.
I can communicate ideas to people in the hopes of accomplishing desired goals. As president I will have ample opportunities to speak on behalf of the AUSA to on and off-campus groups. Communication is a talent I already possess and am perfecting as a marketing major.
I believe I can accomplish my goals even when presented with obstacles. I believe that God will give me the power I need to overcome any obstacle that would hinder the formation of a more united and spirited AU campus.
As an active participant in the Berrien Springs Nursing Home Ministry I have learned to identify unmet needs, by gathering together talented individuals willing to accomplish a common goal. Interacting with the elderly and listening to their concerns has given me a special appreciation for who they are and how they feel. I hope to gain that same appreciation for our AU student body as its AUSA president.
