Baseball
This past season of baseball has been a roller coaster. In August last year,
I hurt my UCL during a baseball game (I was technically 14, but I'm rolling with this due to the
fact that it's impacting my 15u season the most). I sat out for the rest of my last season, and
I found out that the elbow injury was a lot worse than I thought. After getting testing done and
seeing a sports doctor, I found out that i tore my UCL and fractured the bone where it attached. I was
devastated. I even contemplated quitting baseball all together several times, even though recovery is very
possible. After contemplating and riding several emotional roller coasters, I made my mind up and made the
decision to pursue baseball for 15u. I went to my sports doctor, got a recovery program, stuck to most of it,
and earned a spot on my highschool team. In the beginning, I wasn't cleared to pitch. However, now I am, with
some limitations, of course. My hitting, while rough at times, is not as bad as I thought it would be. I did
not end the year on a good note last year, so I am trying my hardest to do that this year. I pitched for
the first time recently, and I'm doing alright.
