
2.2 Implementation Procedures for: Financial
Records
STATEMENT
The management of financial records, including summary
reports and supporting documents such as service unit billing statements
and purchases orders must conform to the retention schedule.
Responsibility of Units Generating Financial Records
It is important that all financial records generated
are managed according to approved records retention schedule. Care
must be taken to ensure preservation of a good financial record.
Financial records from departments, institutes, and centers, as
well as student organizations should include only the annual budget
and the monthly activity statements, and in some cases the financial
records of attached auxiliary enterprises.
