
2.7 Implementation Procedures for:
Faculty and Staff Papers
STATEMENT
The personal papers of Andrews University faculty
and staff contain records which document the intellectual, administrative,
cultural, and social environment of this campus. Faculty and staff
personal papers, separate from records associated with University
business, containing significant information on teaching, research,
and professional activities should be preserved for future generations.
This is a function of the Adventist Heritage Center. Faculty and
staff are encouraged to contact the curator of the Adventist Heritage
Center to discuss the possible preservation of their personal pagers.
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FACULTY AND STAFF MEMBER GENERATING THE RECORDS
1. The faculty and staff member should consult
with the curator of the Adventist Heritage Center to discuss the
maintenance, proper transfer and archival retention of his/her records.
2. Records which may be preserved in the
Adventist Heritage Center include, but are not limited to:
2.1 correspondence of a substantive nature,
including e-mail (See also section I, 2.1)
2.2 lecture notes and curriculum materials
2.3 records of departmental or university-wide
activities
2.4 speeches and other presentations
2.5 research related records and notes
2.6 bibliographies, vitae
2.7 news releases and public statements
2.8 photographs, films, and other audio
visual materials
2.9 Topical and/or subject files related
to faculty/staff members work
Note: Records under 2.3 are University records and should stay with
the departmental/unit records at the AUARC. Cross-references can
be made. For more details on faculty and staff papers
see Appendix IV.
