
2.8 Implementation Procedures for:
University Publications
STATEMENT
University publications document in a wide spectrum
not only the cultural, social, and intellectual environment of Andrews
University but also give significant information on research, teaching,
and other professional activities and, therefore, must be preserved
for future generation. This is the function of the Adventist Heritage
Center. All entities generating publications should transfer annually
two copies of each publication to the Adventist Heritage Center.
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFICE GENERATING THE RECORDS
1. The office of origin should consult with
the curator of the Adventist Heritage Center to discuss the maintenance,
proper transfer and archival retention of university publications.
2. Publications which must be directly transferred
to the Adventist Heritage Center include, but are not limited to:
2.1 publications of the Andrews University
Press
2.2 student publications, weekly or annually,
such as Student Movement, Cardinal, Cast
2.3 official publications, including the
Focus, Bulletin(s), annual Class-Schedule, promotional literature
for PR, fund-raising or recruitment purposes
2.4 professional journals published by the
various schools, such as Seminary Studies, Journal on Christian
Education
2.5 occasional papers and publications initiated by institutes,
offices or individuals, such as Shabbat Shalom, Siegfried Horn Festschrift
