The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) announces the election of Dr. Khan Nedd of Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a new trustee on its board of directors. He will join the board on Oct. 1, 2016, bringing the number of WKKF trustees to 10.

Nedd is currently the interim chief executive officer of Answer Health, an integrated clinical network of independent physicians in West Michigan focused on keeping practitioner costs down and service levels high. He is also the president and medical director of Infusion Associates, an independently owned infusion center where patients receive intravenous therapies. A board-certified internist, Nedd has broad-based medical experience as an internist, hospitalist and infusion therapy specialist.

"As we considered candidates for the Kellogg Foundation's board of trustees, we were looking for an individual with a strong sense of social justice and someone with authentic commitment to improving the lives of children and families at the community level," said Ramón Murguía, WKKF board chair. "Dr. Nedd exemplifies these things in his work as a physician and as a hands-on, community-based leader advocating for solutions to systemic challenges. My fellow trustees and I are very pleased to welcome him to the board."
