Andrews University is determined to offer a faith- based education that does not compromise first class scholarship. Students are invited to befriend their teachers in the excitement of discovery. They are encouraged to develop leadership skills in preparation for their calling in life. Campus culture is characterized by international understanding, appreciation for diversity, values formation, affirmation of faith in God, courage before an uncertain future, and finding meaning and purpose in life.

Being an advocate of faith-based education has been rewarding, for it seems so right in our secular, materialistic and uncertain age. I never tire of seeking new ways to advance that goal. I will keep on encouraging students to let their minds soar as they collide with the minds of good and committed teachers at Andrews University. And I am daily inspired by the leadership our students demonstrate in their studies, their faith, and their service to God and society.
