Soft sensor development for VHG(very high gravity) bioethanol fermentation.

Soft sensor is a virtual sensor that detects easy and quick measurements to predict hard and time-consuming measurement values.  For example, in bioethanol fermentation process, we can easily measure temperature, pH, redox potential, dissolved oxygen in real time (in every second) .  But the product, ethanol concentration is measured by taking out samples and running high pressure liquid chromatography, which can be done only sparingly (in every two hours).  The goal of this project is to develop a soft sensor for bioethanol process to predict product concentrations using real-time measurements.
