The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a professional degree that allows you to:

  • Enter the profession as a generalist social worker
  • Gain entry into a Master of Social Work (MSW) program
  • Start connecting with a vast network of social workers across the world

Our program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) through 2027.

Our highly-ranked program has a very diverse population, exposing you to a global perspective. 

Finish your MSW in 1-2 years (full time) or 2-3 years (part time).

Doing a dual degree allows you to finish two master's degrees at the same time. Credits overlap which saves you time and money. Currently we offer 6 dual degrees.

  • Child Welfare Certificate (Can be completed during bachelor's degree)

Students are not required to choose a focus area.

Internship

The Social Work Practicum Experience is educationally directed and professionally supervised to provide students with the opportunity to engage in generalist and advanced generalist social work activities in professional settings. This experiential learning environment integrates theory and practice!

Practicum Education

Whether you want to work in the inner city, in the classroom, or around the world, Andrews University will prepare you with an education based on excellence, action, and Christian compassion. International Center for Trauma Education and Care

Housed in Andrew's University's School of Social Work, the Center’s main goal is to provide instruction on trauma-informed education and care to people and places around the globe. We offer trauma-informed awareness, education, and tools to support prevention and healing in organizations, schools, churches, and communities.
