Come and reunite with your Andrews Academy family. Remember the defining moments of your past and reconnect with old friends. We look forward to seeing all of you once again at our 55th annual Alumni Reunion!
This year’s honored classes:
1935, 1940, 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015
The class of 1970 is celebrating their golden reunion (50 years)!
The class of 1995 is celebrating their silver reunion (25 years)!
Teacher of the Year: Alan Anderson (1970-2013)
Alumna of the Year: Lynda Popp Swanson (1970)
Registration: 6 pm (gym)
Vespers: 7 pm - Alumni weekend begins Friday evening with a vespers program in the Academy Chapel led by members from the class of 2000. Come worship together and mingle with friends before and after this program.
Registration: 9 am (gym)
Sabbath School/Roll Call: 10 am - You will not want to miss Sabbath School and Roll Call. There will be testimonials from alumni's time at Andrews Academy, which will be interspersed with musical selections by alumni and current music groups. Various individuals will be recognized, awards will be given, and roll call of classes will take place during this program.
Church: 11:15 am - This service will be presented by the class of 1995. Members of the 25 year class will present special music, scripture, and there will be a sermon and prayer for this service. The select choir, Silhouettes, will sing and will invite AA choir alumni to join them for a combined special music during this service.
Honor Class Photos: 12:30 pm - Following church each honored class will be seated together for a potluck meal. Also during this time each class will have a photo taken. Please be present so that each member of the class can be included in the photo. This photo will be sent to you by email shortly after alumni weekend and in photograph format by mail a number of weeks after alumni weekend. We hope as many members of the honored classes will be present for your special reunions.
Potluck: 12:30 pm - If you are a local alumnus, we are inviting you to help with potluck by bringing a haystack item. According to the first letter of your last name, please bring the following items:
Shydepoke: 8 pm - Saturday night is when the traditional Shydepoke flag football games will occur at the football field at Andrews University. Come prepared to play or to cheer and mingle with other alumni during the game.
Honor Class Events: Some honored classes have planned other special events during the weekend. Watch for more information.
