Award-winning journalist and PBS senior correspondent Ray Suarez to speak on faith and politics.

Ray Suarez, an award-winning broadcast journalist and Washington-based Senior Correspondent for PBS’s The NewsHour, will speak at the University Forum on Thursday, October 9, at 11:30 a.m. in the Howard Performing Arts Center.  Suarez was previously host of National Public Radio’s call-in news program Talk of the Nation, and began his career covering local, national, and international stories for NBC-owned station WMAQ-TV in Chicago.  Suarez has written several books, including his most recent, The Holy Vote, which examines the tightening relationship between religion and politics - the topic of his Forum presentation.
