Ladysmith Black Mambazo has been sharing intricate vocal rhythms and harmonies with worldwide audiences for over 50 years. The group borrows from a traditional music called isicathamiya, which developed in the mines of South Africa. Their most recent album, “Live: Singing for Peace Around the World,” won the Grammy Award of Best World Music CD in 2013. Ladysmith Black Mambazo has recorded with numerous artists from around the world, including Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban, Emmylou Harris, Melissa Etheridge, and many others.
