Lakeland Offers Free Skin Cancer Screenings

Community Announcements | Posted on July 16, 2015

(ST. JOSEPH) – Lakeland Health will offer free skin cancer screenings to community members on Friday, July 24, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Marie Yeager Cancer Center, located at 3900 Hollywood Road, St. Joseph.

According to the American Cancer Society, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, with more skin cancers diagnosed each year than all other cancers combined. Over the past few decades, the number of skin cancer cases has continued to rise. The good news is that there are ways you can protect yourself and your family from skin cancer, or catch it early so that it can be treated effectively.

Registration is required; walk-ins will be accepted if space is available. To learn more or make an appointment, call (269) 556-2880. Visit www.lakelandhealth.org or find Lakeland Health on Facebook or Twitter for more events.
