Shop Small, Shop Local: Small Business Showcase

Join the movement to shop small and local by discovering your community’s businesses in an expo in the lobby of the Howard Center. This free event will introduce and reacquaint you with businesses and service providers right here in your community. You can expect samples, demonstrations and music; with the Mirasol Quartet taking the stage at 4 p.m. Mirasol Quartet is the saxophone quartet that won the Gold Medal of the Senior Winds Division at the 2015 Fischoff Competition. The quartet members—James Barger (soprano sax), Andrew Reinhart (alto sax), Benjamin Still (tenor sax), and Ben Donnell (baritone sax)—are from Texas. Founded in 1987, the Fischoff Grand Prize is an esteemed award given at the largest chamber music competition in the world. As part of the prestigious honor of wining the competition, the Mirasol Quartet is touring America’s Midwest region, stopping at the Howard Performing Arts Center along the way.
