Symphony Orchestra Presents Fall Concert Saturday
Bloch, Copland, Chavez and more
The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Claudio Gonzalez, will perform a concert on Saturday, November 21, at 8 p.m. at the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University. The concert will feature “Double Concert in E minor” for Violin and Viola, “Op. 88” by Max Bruch with soloists Carla Trynchuk and Joel Pagan, “Suite Hebraique for Viola and Orchestra” by Ernest Bloch with Soloist Joel Pagan, as well as “Saturday Night Waltz” from “Rodeo” by Aaron Copland, “Symphony No. 2, ‘Sinfonía India’” by Carlos Chávez and “Danzon No.2” byArturo Márquez.
Tickets are $6 general admission; $4 for students and senior citizens, and free for children ages 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at howard.andrews.edu or by calling the Box Office 888-467-6442.
