Weather Spotter Training

Community Announcements | Posted on February 1, 2016

Berrien County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service are providing a Weather Spotter course on 03/09/16. Weather Spotters are important to the community's Emergency Public Alert and Warning process.  The information that trained spotters are able to provide will often help the National Weather Service and our Local Emergency Service Providers provide accurate warning information.

This free course covers basic weather identification.  What to report, how to report, and when to report dangerous weather.

This is always a very informative lecture and will equip the attendees with tools necessary to help keep their communities safe during severe weather.  Please encourage others to attend and promote this important training.

This training is open to any person; citizens, business owners/employees, and emergency responders.  The course materials are appropriate for all, and any attendee interested in this topic.
