The Laramie Project, written by Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project, is a result of hundreds of interviews done in Laramie, Wyoming after the savage killing of Matthew Shepard. Shepard is the young gay man whose brutal murder in 1998 has symbolized America's struggle with intolerance. The powerful play, with support from the Matthew Shepard Foundation, features eleven actors playing over 60 characters, portraying the honest perspectives of both friends and strangers in the community. There will be a talk-back with audiences and Out Center representatives after each performance. This material may not be suitable for younger audiences.
