AU Wind Symphony Spring Concert
Concert to present premier of new composition

The Andrews University Wind Symphony will present a spring concert on Sunday, April 17, at 4 p.m. in the Howard Performing Arts Center. The Wind Symphony will perform a Michigan premiere of "Up to No Good" by Brad Baumgardner, featuring adjunct teacher Jason Gresl on bass clarinet. "Up to No Good" was jointly commissioned to be composed by Andrews University and ten other universities.
The program will also feature "Earth Song" by Frank Ticheli, "On This Bright Morning" by David Maslanka, "Bohemian Revelry" by Adam Gorb, "One Life Beautiful" by Julie Giroux and "Consort for Ten Winds" by Robert Spittal. The program will also feature Sebastian Serrano, graduate student director, directing "Sonata Octavi Toni" by Giovanni Gabrieli, an antiphonal two brass choir composition.
General admission is $6, student and senior admission is $4 and children under 12 are free. Call the Howard Center Box Office at 269-471-3560 for tickets or purchase online at howard.andrews.edu.
