R.E.A.L. Well-Being Cafe at Neighbor to Neighbor

"Why did Jesus have to die?" was the pensive query of one 3 year old impacted by "Dolorosa: Were You There?" presented by the R.E.A.L. Well-Being Café at Neighbor to Neighbor in early May.  Perhaps not unrelated, following the explanations given to this young inquiring mind was that child's first time praying without halting for an adult's prompted words!

Other reactions?  "Wonderful, wonderful!  I missed the Passion Play this year and was really glad for this!" and "We NEED this!"  Both young and older watched with rapt attention at the stunning Passion Play scenes captured by photographers Jean Michel and Jonathan Logan, listened to the moving message of Via Dolorosa and envisioned the gripping pathos of the Desire of Ages and other readings shared.

Were YOU there...at the Café, that is?  You don't have to miss the next one.  Due to demand, the Café venue and times vary and presentations are adapted accordingly with musical selections looking to artists such as Girls of Mercy, Joshua Loucks and Chapter X among others.  By the time of this reading, the Café will have presented "Mind Your Own Mind!" at Timber Ridge Manor in mid-May.  Keep up to date with scheduled topics, musicians, speakers, locations and times by contacting RealWellBeingCafe@gmail.com.

The R.E.A.L. Well-Being Café was created so that opportune situations relating to spiritual, emotional and physical well-being experiences can be fostered; inquiries may surface; relationships develop; and unhindered dialogue can flow.  Held at primarily non-church venues, it is an informal safe place for growth and exploration of the components of whole-person well-being.  After all, its motivating text is, "Beloved, I desire above all things that you prosper, be in good health as your soul prospers." 3 John 1:2.

The community is invited to pause at the end of a busy morning or evening for popcorn and a program, meeting old friends or making new ones.  Connoisseurs of any age across the lifespan: stay-at-home bakers, blossoming entrepreneurs are all invited to contact us regarding bringing sample sizes of their health-minded creative treats (along with business card, label and/or recipe, if applicable) to these community-focused events.  To their utter delight, Sher Rudi's fare overwhelmingly convinced attendees that healthy can be tasty!  Air-popped popcorn, deemed the #1 "feel good" snack and seratonin-enhancing, is a staple at the Café.

R.E.A.L. Well-Being Café is presented by the organizers of the Community Pecan Pancakes & Prayer Brunch and in many ways is a follow-up to the in-roads that the brunch had made.
