The 100-Mile Statement

A 100-mile run from Andrews University to downtown Chicago will kick off Andrews’ first ever Wellness Week.

A full schedule of events, including a health and fitness expo and programs to encourage physical, mental and spiritual health.

Andrews faculty member Oliver Glanz and seminary student Oleg Kostyuk will undertake the-100 mile Mission Fully Alive Run starting Saturday evening Oct. 22. They plan to run straight through for nearly 24 hours until they reach downtown Chicago on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23.

Glanz, 38, is an assistant professor of Old Testament studies at the Andrews Theological Seminary. Kostyuk, 32, is a seminary student, pastor and Hope Channel host. Their primary sports are diving, backpacking and long-distance hiking for Kostyuk and high altitude mountaineering, rock climbing and skiing for Glanz.
