Michiana Adventist Forum: Where Do My Donations Go
Michiana Adventist Forum presents "Where Do My Donations Go? A
Conversation on SDA Church Financial Structure," presented by Dr. Ann
Gibson, Professor emerita in the School of Business, Andrews University,
on Saturday Afternoon at 3:30 pm, December 3, 2016, in Chan Shun Hall on
the campus of Andrews University, Berrien Springs, MI.
About the Speaker

University and former professor of accounting. She holds a PhD in
accounting and is a CPA.
She has served as an accountant, auditor, board member, and in other
capacities for multiple denominational and other entities and has taught
at multiple institutions of higher learning.
She has given over 80 professional seminars and workshops for the
Seventh-day Adventist Church and presented at over a dozen international
sites in this capacity. She manages the SDA General Conference Treasury
website, moneywise.adventist.org. Recently, she has developed a
weeklong workshop and seminar program for new treasurer training,
including creating over 30 curriculum guides.
In 1998 Ann founded and co-chaired the first professional growth
seminar, “Beyond the Bottom Line,” for financial officers of the
Seventh-day Adventist Church across North America. Her dream is to
professionalize those who handle financial matters for the Adventist Church.
About the topic
Approximately three and a half billion dollars of funds came into the
Seventh-day Adventist denomination in 2014 according to the General
Conference Annual Statistical Report. Where do these funds come from?
Where do they go? How do they get there? What is the financial structure
of the SDA church? As an educational and accounting professional
intimately familiar with denominational financial practices, Dr. Gibson
is well qualified to address these issues.
Adventist Forum is open to the public. All are welcome. For
