WELCOME to our 5th annual Adventist Conference on Family Research and Practice (ACFRP). For over 35 years, several Adventist organizations under the auspices of Family Ministries have sponsored an annual event to celebrate and educate our constituencies and community members about the importance of ministry to families both within and outside of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
“The Good News about Marriage” is scheduled to take place on July 20-22, 2017.
We are dedicated to strengthening families since 1975. Andrews University Theological Seminary, the Social Work Department & the School of Education have partnered with the Family Ministries Department of both the North American Division and General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to create an opportunity to celebrate, educate, enhance and highlight the importance of ministry to families, whether blended, single parents, or individuals hoping to be married one day.
The conference is geared towards Family Life Professionals (students and community members) including but not limited to Therapists, Counselors, Social Workers, Family Practice Nurses, Pastors, Chaplains and individuals who work with or desire to further their knowledge and practical application of family ministry in the areas of: Youth & Young Adult, Family Life and Health Ministry leaders to name a few.
It is our hope and prayer that you will find the presentations, the conversation, the fellowship and the food enriching and satisfying. Above all, we all want to have an experience of the love of God.
With Paul we pray: “May God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord give you grace, mercy, and peace” (1Timothy 1:2) in all of your relationships.
