Solar 5K Run
Sun, April 8, 2018 @ 08:00 am - 02:15 pm
Join us for a 5K Run and help us raise funds for a solar microgrid in a remote village in Ambatalampy, Madagascar. The route is mostly flat, circlng around the campus of Andrews University before returning to the finish line at the running track. Register today for a great family activity! All are welcome to participate. There will be cash prizes for the top three finishers.
Engineers Without Borders is dedicated to deploying sustainable engineering solutions both locally and abroad--evidenced in our involvement in Benton Harbor's Habitat for Humanity construction projects and our international project in Ambatalampy, Madagascar. In May we will be traveling to Madagascar to assess our goal of implementing a solar microgrid to provide energy for the remote village. All proceeds from the Solar 5K Run will be used to fund our Engineers Without Borders chapter.
