TODAY: Support Benton Harbor High School

Community Announcements | Posted on May 30, 2019

Benton Harbor High School has been central to the Benton Harbor community for many years. Because of its history of challenges in meeting the state's academic goals, however, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has proposed closing the Benton Harbor High School as of 2020. The school board, mayor and other local leaders hope to keep Benton Harbor High School open, though the district school board must give a response to the governor by June 7.

As a praying community, we believe in the power of God—we invite you to attend a prayer session this evening designed to seek God's intervention. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please consider taking a few moments to pray for Benton Harbor High School, the community and all those involved in the decision-making processes.

Special Prayer Meeting led by Taurus Montgomery
Thursday, May 30, 5–6 p.m.
Harbor of Hope SDA Church, 769 Pipestone Street, Benton Harbor, MI 49022

Following the prayer session, a meeting will be held to bring the community up-to-date on the latest developments.
