Vespers Concert: AFM Peace Music Academy Benefit
For our annual Vespers Concert as part of the Andrews University Music Festival, we present a wide of variety of inspirational sacred music for wind band. Headlining the program is Gabriel Musella’s new work "A Thousand Hearts to Give," a medley of several familiar hymn tunes. Other pieces include David Gillingham’s lush arrangement of "Be Thou My Vision," the majestic "Raise of the Son" by Rossano Galante, and Stephen Melillo’s exhilarating "Godspeed!" Come be blessed and inspired by these moving pieces.
This concert is also a benefit for Adventist Frontier Mission's music school in Khon Kaen, Thailand, called Peace Music Academy. The Wind Symphony toured to this school a year ago, and a number of Andrews University music students have served as student missionaries there.
Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be collected to support Peace Music Academy.
