Adventist Forum 2019 Conference Registration

Community Announcements | Posted on July 23, 2019

Here's the Registration link: https://spectrummagazine.org/conference2019

Registrations for our annual conference have been arriving, and we are excited to know people will be headed to our Orlando, Florida event from Georgia, Idaho, Alabama, Kansas, Michigan, Tennessee, California, and New York. If you have friends in the Greater Orland area, consider encouraging them to join us for all or part of the conference.

Please remember that the discounted Early Bird rate for the conference is available until Wednesday, July 31. However, the discounted rate at the Comfort Suites Downtown Orlando hotel is only available until Monday, July 29 and a limited number of rooms have been set aside at the special rate.

If we see that several chapter leaders will be able to attend the conference, we will organize a time for you to meet each other during the conference and share news and ideas.

Meanwhile, the Spectrum team continues the daily work. The next issue of the Journal has just gone to press, and it features the sensitive subjects of abortion and church politics served up with art by Amy Cronk and poetry by Michael Orlich.

Barry Casey continues to do a wonderful weekly online essay for us (published each Tuesday). We also recently did a cluster of articles related to the new Sabbath School quarterly on social justice:  a review of the companion book by Nathan Brown, a podcast interview with Nathan, as well as a great commentary by Jean Sheldon.

Spectrum's new Adventist Voices podcast continues to gain listeners each week. Enjoy recent conversations with forthcoming conference keynote speaker Gerald Winslow about growing up Adventist as well as some history of healthcare ethics. Also, look for former General Conference communication director Ray Dabrowski kicking off our upcoming series: focusing on the upcoming 2020 GC Session in Indianapolis. Catch the conversations on iTunes and Stitcher as well as via the Podcast tab on the Spectrum homepage.
