Veterans Day Tribute
Tue, November 12, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 12:20 pm
Fall is a natural time for reflection and giving thanks. At this special time, we would like to express our gratitude for veterans’ service to our country. Join us for a Veterans Day Tribute on November 12 at 11:30 a.m. in Newbold Auditorium, Buller Hall.
During the program, the Andrews University Office of Veterans will be presenting a small gift of appreciation to each student veteran/veteran dependent(s) and staff/faculty that are veterans. Throughout our history, military service members have put on their uniforms to protect our nation’s values and liberties. This year we will focus on the theme of "service." Veterans contribute in many ways far beyond their time in active duty. They take the lessons they have learned, the experiences they’ve gained, and continue to serve by strengthening our communities. They become leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers and more. If you as a Veteran have had a meaningful experience in service to the community and would be willing to share this experience with others, we would love to hear from you. Service experiences can be shared in print. We will have a slideshow presentation and would be honored to include a picture of you and/or your veteran while in service or doing service in your community. If you would be willing, please scan and email your photos to Fares Magesa, Andrews University Veteran Certifying Official, at veterans@andrews.edu.
We look forward to seeing you on the 12th as we honor our veterans at Andrews University. All are welcome!
