Chamber Music with Claudio Gonzalez and Friends
On Saturday, Feb. 29, at 8 p.m. in the Howard Performing Arts Center
On Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at 8 p.m., the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University will host Claudio Gonzalez and friends for an evening of chamber music. The program will feature two emblematic pieces for string sextet: Brahms’ “Sextet Op. 18” and a period version of Mozart’s “Symphonie Concertante.”
Before coming to Andrews University to conduct the orchestra program, Claudio Gonzalez’s main professional activity was chamber music. Over the years he has met many friends and colleagues who share his passion for chamber music. Two of those individuals, cellist German Marcano and violinist Carla Trynchuk, with three outstanding students from the Department of Music, violinist Stephanie Guimaraes, violist Shania Watt and cellist Grant Steinweg, will join Gonzalez on Saturday evening.
Tickets for this event can be purchased at howard.andrews.edu and are $6 for general seating and $4 for students and seniors.
