(ST. JOSEPH)—Community members are invited to join Michael Schiman, FNP, of Lakeland Neurology for a free, online seminar titled "Face migraine pain head on." The seminar will be held virtually on Monday, Feb. 22, from 6–6:30 p.m. Participants will be emailed a link on how to join and can ask questions during the event.

During the seminar, Schiman will discuss preventative and minimally invasive treatment options for chronic migraines and cluster headaches, including Botox® injections. A migraine is a common health condition which usually begins in early adulthood and affects around one in every five women and around one in every 15 men. Chronic migraines qualify as a condition for those who experience 15 or more headache days per month, with each headache lasting four or more hours and causing severe pain.

"A painful migraine can stop you in your tracks and prevent you from performing simple, everyday tasks," said Schiman. "When chronic migraines cause you to constantly miss out on daily activities, it's time to seek help."
