30 Years of Service: Thomas Straman
Building Supervisor, Office of Custodial Services
Tom Straman is a twin to his brother Tim, was born in Berrien Springs and has lived here most of his life. He is well liked and does an exceptional job as a building supervisor for Custodial Services.
With a degree in business management, he has been a blessing to our office. Besides cleaning his assigned buildings, Tom meets with sales representatives from several companies to keep up with the ever-changing cleaning industry. He orders all the cleaning supplies for Andrews University buildings. Tom is also a team player and likes to work as a team to get the various jobs done.
One of Tom’s coworkers commented, “Tom is a punster! He likes to play on words.” Another colleague said, “Tom is dedicated, smart, and knows how to get the job done while uplifting God in the process.”
In his free time, Tom sings in the PMC Sanctuary Choir, assists as a church deacon and also works as part of the Allred Funeral Home team. Tom’s faithful Christian example can be seen in his daily work here at Andrews.
Tom is a loyal and caring person who has dedicated his life to serving Andrews University’s needs.
Please join the entire Custodial Services team in congratulating Tom for 30 years of exemplary service at Andrews University.
