Death of Keith William Jewell Jr.

Keith William Jewell Jr. passed away Nov. 2, 2021, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, where he received excellent care.

Keith was born Feb. 13, 1950, in Hinsdale, Illinois, to Keith William Jewell Sr. and Rachel Louise Sheldon Jewell. He grew up in Ann Arbor and Battle Creek, Michigan.

He retired from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor after 31 years in various capacities, such as Moving and Trucking and Grounds Department. During that time he lived in Grass Lake and attended the Jackson Seventh-day Adventist Church and was involved with their Pathfinder Club.

In his retirement, he owned the Laundromat in Eau Claire for 10 years.

Keith is survived by his wife, Phyllis Patterson Jewell; sisters, Lois Jewell (Doug Korves) and Kathleen (Dave) Williams; brother, David (Michelle) Jewell; his children, Regina (Randal) Mack and Ruthann (Timothy) Pillsbury; his stepchildren, Greg Wilson, Dana (Brian) Worley, Valerie (Michael) Castillo, and Paul Wilson; his grandchildren, Levi Pillsbury and Emma Pillsbury; and his step-grandchildren, Zachary Wilson and Abigail Castillo.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Martha Schoun Jewell in 1998.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 4 p.m. with visitation at 3 p.m. at Allred Funeral Home, Berrien Springs. Messages and memories may be shared online at allredfuneralhome.com.
