30 Years of Service: Sharon Dudgeon
Manager, WAUS 90.7 FM
We want to take this opportunity to celebrate with Sharon Dudgeon her 30 years of service to Andrews University. She has been masterful at continuing to make a classical radio station meaningful in these more modern times. She has really been an asset to the University, the local community and the patrons of WAUS.
Sharon is always smiling and so cheerful when I meet her and talk with her. Her personality is very pleasant and that can be seen in how her staff reacts to her leadership, as evidenced by the low turnover of employees at WAUS. All of them are very dedicated to making sure that WAUS operates as best as can be and Sharon is at the forefront.
Sharon has a wealth of knowledge from all her experiences and the places she has been. She seems to have the knack of being able to come up with just the right format that listeners are looking for. In speaking with members of her Board they all have praises for Sharon for the work she does!
In the years I have worked with Sharon it has been a great experience to get to know her more as a person. She always is so calm when there is any issue that needs to be solved immediately or when there are budgetary concerns. She constantly keeps Financial Administration aware of the needs of WAUS. Sharon is also mindful of the students we have on campus and is helpful in making sure their needs are met. She never lets an opportunity slip by to recruit talent for on air announcers and producers. She asks anyone who may be interested in working with or for a radio station to stop by and have a discussion with her about that line of work.
Thank you so much, Sharon, for your service to Andrews University through WAUS 90.7 FM, Michiana’s home for classical music. May you have many more successful years here!
