Description:
3D printing machines seem to have become ubiquitous, thanks in part to their much lower costs but also due to their usage versatility for prototyping applications. This presentation will introduce the attendees to the basics of 3D printing.
Two workshops will follow-up on Friday, Nov. 18, and Friday, Dec. 2, for those interested in learning more about 3D printing through hands-on activities.
About Wayne Buckhanan:
Wayne Buckhanan is a former associate professor of engineering at Andrews University. He holds a master's degree and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He is also an entrepreneur and has founded organizations and companies throughout his career. Currently, he is the Head of Research and Development of BUIDL DAO LLC, a company with a focus on blockchain, NFT-technology, gaming and metaverses located in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Their flagship project is "The Uplift World," a cross-chain metaverse tapping into the potential of Minecraft but not limited to it.
