Graduate students at the Andrews University School of Architecture & Interior Design (SAID) have been working with the NGO Winners to develop a master plan for new facilities in Majdal Anjar, Lebanon. Winners serves Syrian refugee families and local children through education and football training. The student team, led by Professors Andrew von Maur and Zayda Steinke, visited Lebanon to conduct design and planning workshops with the municipality and local stakeholders and to study local architecture and urban development patterns. The final plans will include designs for a new indoor football building, new educational facilities, space for industries to support entrepreneurship, and a Brazilian-Lebanese cultural center.

A video about the project and visit to Lebanon is available here.

Students: Morgan Bland, Antonio Bermudez, Jo-Elisa Clarke, William Dos Reis, Gabrielle Grinnell, Camille Hall, Amanda Pechero, Aryana Robinson, Elijah Shin and Matthew White.
