University Update on School of Architecture

The Andrews University administration acknowledges that questions have been raised regarding recent personnel decisions in our School of Architecture & Interior Design (SAID). As it relates to those concerns, the University wishes to affirm that both the University and SAID are, and remain, fully committed to the mission and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Andrews University and the School.

In turn, Andrews University administration highly values the consistent and profound mission impact of the School and the passionate commitment of all of its faculty toward its students and their professional success as World Changing architects and interior designers.

However, Andrews University cannot and will not respond in any public forum to confidential personnel decisions made by the University. When concerns are raised about those types of decisions, the University will continue to follow its protocols in responding to appeals and grievances related to any personnel actions and decisions and also will consistently seek to respect and protect the professional and personal integrity of all those who advise the administration through those official processes whenever they are needed.
