Cynthia Swanson, better known as Cindy to everyone, is one of the most dedicated individuals you will meet here at Andrews University. As manager of the Bookstore here on campus her main focus is service to our students to make sure they have the learning materials they need. At times her job is rather difficult, but she is always pleasant and kind as she works with everyone to ensure students get their materials. Cindy faced some health challenges this past year and had to slow down a little, but it has not deterred her from her commitment to Andrews.

I have the privilege of working with Cindy and meeting with her regularly. She is often thinking of ways to improve what she and her team at the Bookstore can do to make operations run better and increase sales. I have always enjoyed our meetings, which inevitably turn to the topic of farming. She still lives on a family farm, and I am also associated with my family farm. Discussing farm life always brings a smile to her face and brightens her day, as well as mine.

Over the years I have really grown to appreciate Cindy in all that she does for the Andrews University community. Thank you very much for your excellent service, Cindy!
