At Andrews University, we have many employees who support the faith of students in a variety of ways. Corey Johnson is a good example of someone who does that, but with one consistent message to students—give your life to missions.
A colleague shares, “Dean Johnson shows incredible character in how he presents himself and his passion for Christ and missions. He encourages students to be whole-heartedly and whole-body dedicated to the work of the Lord. He leads by example the men in the dorm and around this campus, engaging with them outside of work.”
“Corey has this presence about him. You can't help but gravitate toward him the moment he enters the room, whether it is in the dorm with a huge smile, speaking about Palau, or even Gymnics, Corey brings a presence that elevates all those around him closer to the heart of God,” remarks Isaac Soli.
Another student, Angel Pereira, says, “The Paulaui Papi, aka Corey Johnson, is by far one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. His presence just can’t help but make you smile and feel like you’re in safe hands.”
Teela Ruehle affirms, “He lives what he preaches by example in the residence hall and the mission field. His commitment and dedication to serving others locally and in the mission field are unwavering. It’s a privilege to get to work alongside him.”
Thank you, Corey, for bringing your heart for missions to everywhere you work, visit, volunteer and engage with students. Congratulations on receiving this significant award in recognition of your passion.
